Founders
CEO – Bastien Wallace BA, LLB, M. Phil.
Bastien holds a Masters of Philosophy degree, and her research on ‘Reducing Lifestyle diseases using community-based sport’ underpins our work. She also holds undergraduate degrees in Arts/Law, coaching qualifications in 6 sports and 3 fitness disciplines, has developed and led 2 apprenticeship programs in the sport and leisure sector, national coach, athlete and sports integrity training. She has 25 years’ experience in leadership roles in the sport, health and fitness industries. She was one of the earliest practitioners to develop and lead community sport-based interventions, and has delivered public health improvement at scale through reducing inactivity in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Co-Founder – David Turnbull BA
David is a Founding Partner and Executive Director at My Venture Partners. An award-winning technologist, David applies 25 years of technology design and delivery experience to his client’s digital needs. He strives to bring technology, data, and user experience together to deliver intelligently designed digital products. Passionate about unravelling complexity, David has accumulated a vast amount of experience delivering large scale projects for clients including Apple, Vodafone, and Canadian Tourism (incl. the Vancouver Olympics).

Co Founder Digital – John Guest MEng
John is Vector 5‘s Managing Director and Head of Product Strategy. With over 20 years’ experience working at the intersection of business requirements and technology, including ten years running a digital marketing agency, John is a commercially astute business leader with deep experience leading collaborative, cross-discipline teams. John possesses strong experience in digital product development, having planned and delivered online services for web and mobile applications and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for both B2C and B2B businesses.

Communication Advisor – Raylene Symons BA, BSC (Pych) Hons
Raylene is the CEO/Founder of Saltwater Digital Pty Ltd, a digital advisory and marketing company, that supports businesses with website development, digital services, SEO, communications and marketing strategy. She has more than 20 years’ experience in Marketing, Technology & Change Management, including as a Principal Consultant and Advisor with EY and CSC (now DXC). Raylene is a highly skilled advisor in the areas of: strategic communication, change management, project implementation and business transformation, process and control audit and transformation, IT system and application design.
With deep expertise in identifying, evaluating and mitigating risks relating to digital marketing and communications strategy, Raylene has experience advising the health care, finance and insurance sectors. She is also a highly successful surf boat rower, sweep and rugby coach.
Inclusion Advisor – Patricia (Tricia) Malowney OAM BA, DLI, MAICD
Tricia is a highly successful accessibility advocate and expert consultant to the Victorian Department of Transport. She has advised, led committees, programs and initiatives across the, health, corporate, micro-enterprise, family violence, sexual assault and disability services sectors to improve services. Tricia’s expertise on gender and disability issues will help ensure that Sport Health Tech technology is inclusive by design, avoiding the gaps and pitfalls that have historically arising in the digital space.
Digital Security Advisor – James Brooks ISAM
Linux engineer with over 20 years experience managing digital infrastructure deployments across national and international telecommunications, cloud computing, gaming and financial services organisations. He works with organisations who have large server estates and focusses on automation, system security and ensures compliance with MiFiD II and anti-money laundering regulations.
Sport & Integrity Advisor – David Maguire BPCI DipL
David is a gold medal winning surf boat coach, surf life saver, has previously competed as an elite track and field athlete, is a retired Commissioned Officer of the New South Wales Police Force, recipient of the National Police Service Medal. His personal and professional commitment to integrity, anti-doping, good governance, child protection, community service and upholding the law and his lived experience of the sports performance system will help us navigate relationships, regulations and policy challenges.
